Hai Cloud Exchange held “Manage Cloud, Share Future” workshop and publish foreign exchange trading platform

Published: 2017-10-11

1. “Manage Cloud, Share Future” Conference.
This workshop’s topic is “Manage Cloud, Share Future”. The conference mainly explored how small and medium-sized enterprises develop business into the international market under the guidance of “Belt and Road Initiative” and with the help of the flourishing financial technologies.

Since 2008, fluctuations in the international financial market and the political instability in the world have caused violent exchange rate fluctuations, and greatly influenced the competitiveness and the income of small and medium-sized enterprises.

So, Hai Cloud Exchange invited many economists and experts in the industry to the workshop, to explore how to link the financial market service and the demand of the financial risk management of the entity industry customers. On this workshop, participants carried out a multi-angle and in-depth analysis and communication on how small and medium-sized enterprises should deal with the challenges in the new exchange rate era and practice financial risk management.

“Chinese enterprises often face four challenges in the management of exchange rate risk: 1. Exchange rate risk management ideas; 2. Exchange rate risk management talents; 3. Exchange rate risk management systems; 4. economic globalization: some events like geopolitical instability or the black swan happen from time to time, and the accessible network information makes enterprise risk events easily exaggerated and spread”, EVP and CFO of Haier Group, Chairman of Haier Financial Holdings, Ms Tan Lixia proposed.

Mr. Guan Tao thinks, Chinese enterprises should pay close attention to exchange rate fluctuations and respond as soon as possible, establish a perfect risk management system, and promote the globalization of business.

He reminded, “the current ‘forcing stable’ of the RMB exchange rate in China is a temporary means. Market players should seize the opportunity to constantly cultivate and improve the ability to adapt to exchange rate fluctuations, establish a correct sense of financial risks, focus on main business, manage monetary exposure risks with appropriate tools and appropriate costs, and do not replace market operation with market judgement.”

Mr. Zhu Haibin analyzed the macro economy of China over the past year, and proposed, “The RMB exchange rate was stronger in 2017, but the dollar was unexpectedly weak. It is expected that the PBOC will focus more on the two-way fluctuation of the RMB in the coming year. From the perspective of the enterprise, more foreign exchange trading products, such as foreign exchange futures, can be used to manage the exchange rate risk better.”

2. Publish Foreign exchange platform system

On this workshop, Hai Cloud Exchange officially released its foreign exchange trading platform system. The platform will provide foreign exchange service with stable data, transparent and visible process, controllable risk and 24-hour continuous quotation.
